Marie-Pier Joly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2017. Before joining the Department in 2020, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Göttingen in Germany.
Her primary research interests are in the sociology of mental health, migration and integration, and quantitative research methods. One particular strand of her research focuses on how contexts of exit and reception shape mental health disparities between migrants and the native-born in Europe and Canada.
