Biography

Marie-Elyse Forget, a dedicated and involved part-time lecturer, exudes generosity in transmitting energy through her dynamic teaching methods, whether conducted remotely or in-person. Embracing a pedagogical approach that combines hierarchical learning with collective learning, she emphasizes not only presenting theory but also fostering a balance that encourages students to actively participate and share insights during class activities. Mrs. Forget incorporates participative technologies and enjoys implementing gamification strategies to enhance the learning experience.

Beyond her role in academia, Marie-Elyse is an entrepreneurial spirit, serving as the founder of Octaza Marketing. A mother of two, she is passionate about martial arts and Brazilian dance, valuing the enrichment that diversity brings. Actively breaking down boundaries and dispelling misconceptions, she firmly believes in the transformative power of such endeavors.

Marie-Elyse holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in marketing, and certifications, including a Forrester Certification in Mastering Customer Experience, along with pedagogical certifications from HarvardX and ASUx. With over a decade of experience in marketing and sales, she has contributed her expertise to renowned companies such as L’Oréal Canada, HEC Montréal, and Intact Insurance.

Adding to her accomplishments, Marie-Elyse is the proud author of "Le persona-archétype en marketing" (The marketing persona-archetype) in 2024, showcasing her commitment to sharing knowledge and insights in a simple and accessible manner. Additionally, her dedication extends to serving on the governing board of Accueil Bonneau, an organization dedicated to fighting homelessness, reflecting her commitment to community involvement and making a positive impact beyond the business realm.
