Anne Archambault, CTRA, RYT

Education

Master in Adult Education, Bachelor in Recreation Therapy.

Teaching in AHSC
Anne has been teaching in the Applied Science Department since 2000: Introduction to Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy and Physical Disabilities, Women and Leisure, Older Adults and Leisure, Interviewing and a number of other classes in TR.

Teaching Philosophy
She emphasizes the power of goal setting for each class so that the students have a clear focus and can track their progress.

Learning takes place while being actively involved. Practicum are a key component of a lot of classes and the theory part can be fully integrated while offering time in the community.

Professional work

Currently involved in health promotion initiatives with non-profit organizations, Anne has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and commercial products sectors.

She open in 2013 Recreationplus a non profit organization offering recreation therapy services. She is active in a number of CHSLD and in the community providing adapted Yoga classes.
