Christine Blackette
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Christine Blackette, a longtime member of the John Molson family, who retired in April of 2012.
A graduate of John Molson’s BComm program (‘79), Christine spent almost two decades working with the Commerce and Administration Student’s Association (CASA) as their secretary. “More than that however, she was like a mother to the students, who regularly confided in her and sought her advice and support,” remembers Murielle Salari. “She was always ready to help all the different associations and students.”
Additionally, the Undergraduate Programs Office relied heavily on Christine’s assistance to ensure students participated in the many committees that were available to them. She enriched students’ extracurricular experience and was always known for her kindness and generosity.
Christine passed away February 22, 2021. She leaves behind her husband Cecil, and her children, Terry and Melissa. She will always be remembered well.
