Financial awards for undergraduate students

PwC Awards

Applications for the 2024-2025 PwC Awards in Accountancy will open in early 2025.

The PwC Award is open to students majoring in accountancy who are passionate about promoting equity, diversity and inclusion at school and/or in the wider community. 

For the 2023-2024 academic year, up to 10 PwC Awards valued at $2,500 will be awarded to eligible undergraduate students. These awards are made possible by the generous support of PwC.

Winners will be selected on the basis of academic merit and contributions to school or community activities that promote equity, diversity and inclusion.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be full-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree at John Molson, majoring in accountancy and have completed at least one full term of study in Accountancy
  • They must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Applicants must also provide a cover letter describing their contributions to school or community activities that promote equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Applicants may be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or international students

How to apply

Applications for the PwC Awards in Accountancy must include a cover letter that elaborates your contributions to school or community activities that promote equity, diversity and inclusion, as well as your most recent transcript (unofficial Student Record/Transcript from Concordia). Please submit both documents as a single PDF to Catherine Sarazin, Department Assistant, Accountancy, at catherine.sarrazin@concordia.ca.

The applications deadline will be updated in early 2025.

Recipients of the PwC Awards in Accountancy will be informed by the end of winter 2024 term.

John Molson Accounting Society Award

Applications for the John Molson Accounting Society Award will open in early 2025.

These awards are open to students in accountancy who actively participate in the events and services provided by the John Molson Accounting Society (JMAS).

One JMAS Award valued at $1,225 will be granted to an eligible undergraduate student.

Eligibility

  • You must be a full-time student enrolled in a course of study leading to an undergraduate degree in Accountancy (i.e., Major in Accountancy) with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • No present or past member of JMAS executive is eligible for this award
  • Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents or international students

How to apply

Submit a one-page letter summarizing how you have been positively influenced by your participation in the events and services provided by JMAS.

You must also include your most recent transcript (unofficial Student Record/Transcript from Cncordia).

Please submit both documents as a single PDF to Catherine Sarrazin, Department Assistant, at catherine.sarrazin@concordia.ca. The application deadline will be posted in early 2025.

Recipients of the JMAS Awards will be informed by the end of the academic year 2024-2025.
