This event is presented as part of JMSB20, the year-long celebration honouring the 20th anniversary of the renaming of the John Molson School of Business. Each of the four scheduled presentations highlights one of the four research clusters at the business school, in this case, Innovation and entrepreneurship.

Joel Bothello

Assistant Professor, Concordia's Department of Management
Concordia University Research Chair in Resilience and Institutions

Joel Bothello's research focuses on how individuals and organizations develop resilience in unstable environments, with a particular focus on informal entrepreneurs in impoverished markets.

His work has been published in leading management journals and practitioner outlets such as Harvard Business Review and Stanford Social Innovation Review. He is the co-founder of Organization Scientists 4 Future (OS4F), a movement of organization and management scientists seeking to inspire action on climate change.

Johannes Kau

President, Mobilia

Johannes Kau has been with his family-owned company Mobilia since 2000 and became its president since 2014. A leader in contemporary furniture, Mobilia has ten branches across Quebec and Ontario, as well as a transactional website.

Mr. Kau is an important contributor to the community; he gives back and supports organizations such as the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation and the West Island Palliative Care Centre.

Pierre-Yann Dolbec

Assistant Professor, Concordia's Department of Marketing

Pierre-Yann Dolbec explores how markets become more complex and how people and firms manage complexity.

His current work examines body hacking, coffee, education, fashion, influencers, music, sneakers, and social impact projects in Brazil and India. His research is supported by provincial and deferal grants and published in leading academic outlets.
