Math- & science-based learning support

We offer learning support for math-based courses. Find the method that best suits you!

Self assessment for MATH courses

MATH 203, 204, 205, 206, 208 and 209

Have you been exempted from taking a prerequisite MATH course and qualified to take the next level course? To make sure your problem-solving knowledge is strong enough, take the self-assessment for the course you have been exempted from.

Download the self-assessment test for the course you were exempted from. Each test takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

We encourage you to test your knowledge without your notes or books in order to best assess your knowledge level.

Please note that taking these assessments does not affect the admission decision on your course exemptions. The result of the self-assessment are for you only. No one will be able to access your results and you have the right to keep it confidential.

Compare your results to the scale below. Note that the scale offers a general guideline of your knowledge level

  • 80% to 100%: You are in a good position to carry on with your course selection. You can book an appointment with a Math Tutor if you wish to polish your knowledge.
  • 70% to 80%: Brush up on certain topics from this course before tackling the next one. You can get help from a Math Tutor.
  • 50% to 70%: We encourage you to book an appointment with a Math Tutor in addition to attending the workshop on Study Strategies for Math-Based Courses.
  • 50% or less: We strongly suggest that you meet with an academic advisor to discuss a preparation plan for your courses. Book an appointment with a Math Tutor to prepare for your current courses.
