SkillXchange

Students teaching students

Do you have something to teach us? We want to learn from you!

SkillXchange is a cohort-based opportunity to pitch and design a brilliant workshop, receive tailored coaching from our experts via regular group check-ins, and lead a FutureBound workshop for your cohort, coaches, and the FutureBound Team.
If you want to try out a new idea, experiment with peer teaching, and develop essential skills in a supportive learning environment, SkillXchange is for you. This paid experience will allow you to apply and share your knowledge with your fellow cohort and develop important transferable skills in the areas of workshop design, feedback, facilitation, and public speaking!

Why participate in SkillXchange?

By the end of the SkillXchange experience, student facilitators will be able to:
  • Execute the process of taking an idea and developing it into a learning experience for students.
  • Build an engaging and experiential workshop anchored in clear learning objectives for participants.
  • Facilitate a supportive, interactive, and collaborative learning experience where fellow students can experiment with, apply, and exchange ideas.
  • Create a visually engaging workshop using presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva.
  • Demonstrate communication and relationship-building skills related to feedback, active listening, and empathy.
