Complementary credit courses

UNSS (University Skills) courses help you build skills to support your learning, personal development and academic success. Topics include time and stress management, motivation, goal setting, university resources, and learning skills like note-taking, reading, writing, exam prep and concentration.

Note: UNSS courses count for academic credit, but they don’t count toward your program or elective requirements. You’ll be charged tuition according to the Concordia tuition scale. UNSS courses are not included in course credit requirements for government student aid. For example, if you’re required to take a full-time course load (a minimum of 12 credits per term), you’ll need to register for 12 program credits in addition to the 1.5-credit UNSS course.
