FAQ

Have a question about our Graduate Diploma in CPA program? We invite you to review our Frequently Asked Questions below. If you don't find what you are looking for, please contact us.

Once you receive your grade, you have the option of changing the grade to a Pass notation. For more information on the COVID-19 situation, please consult Concordia's COVID-19 updates page.

Note: the John Molson CPA Program and the CPA Order have agreed that courses taken in winter 2020 with a Pass notation are acceptable for entry to the CPA Program.

Applicants to the John Molson Graduate Diploma in CPA program must:

  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.30 in their bachelor's degree
  • Have a minimum overall ACCO CGPA of 2.8/4.30

When deciding whether to change to the Pass notation, you must select the option which best helps you to meet these requirements.

In terms of CGPA, both students will be considered to be at the same level. Admission in the John Molson Graduate Diploma in CPA program is competitive. Therefore, when assessing for admission, the Admissions Committee looks at various factors including the amount of repeated ACCO courses that a student has, the student’s work experience and non-academic activities.

If you have not completed the CPA prerequisite courses in a Canadian university, you cannot apply directly to the John Molson Graduate Diploma in CPA program. Even if you have a degree in accounting, you must complete the CPA prerequisite courses in a Canadian university to learn the Canadian accounting rules and regulations, before you can apply. Please consult our admission requirements for additional details.
