artch: art contemporain émergent
Artch Exhibition
Mission/mandate/about the organisation:
artch is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of emerging contemporary art. Through its annual festival, the organization provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work, fosters meaningful encounters between the public and new artistic practices, and contributes to the vitality and visibility of Montreal's contemporary art scene. Artch is committed to accessibility, diversity, and inclusion, encouraging participation from artists and audiences of all backgrounds. By producing high-quality communications materials—including its annual catalogue and digital content—the organization ensures strong visibility for participating artists and supports the overall success and reach of its programming.
Context of the internship
artch offers internship opportunities for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience within the contemporary visual arts sector. Interns may be involved in various aspects of festival production, including communications and graphic design, editorial and curatorial support, artist and exhibition coordination, or event production and logistics. We often have opportunities available in the lead-up to our annual festival, generally between June and December, offering exposure to different stages of the organizational cycle. We welcome candidates with backgrounds or emerging skills in graphic design, visual communications, arts administration, curatorial studies, or cultural event management. Whether you're looking to develop technical skills, build a professional portfolio, or deepen your understanding of the contemporary art ecosystem, artch provides a collaborative, dynamic environment to grow.
Please send your portfolio and a cover letter to info@artch.org indicating “Concordia Internship” in the subject line.
