Walter S. Tomenson Jr. has displayed a true passion for Concordia since he earned a BA in economics in 1968 from Loyola College, one of Concordia's founding institutions.

Walter, who also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, has enjoyed a successful business career. After 35 years at Marsh & McLennan, he was a founding partner and is now a senior advisor at Integro Insurance Brokers in New York City.

For more than three decades, he has avidly supported the Friends of Concordia in New York. He also participated in the Loyola Refectory Restoration Campaign, which raised $4 million to convert the Loyola Refectory into the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre.

For his exceptional charity work and volunteerism, Walter has received many other accolades including a Maple Leaf Award of Distinction from the Canadian Association of New York in 2010 and the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Commemorative Medal in 2002.
