Fondation Marc Séguin

Mission/about the organisation:
The Foundation’s mission is to support the sustainability of Marc Séguin’s body of work through historical and artistic preservation. The Foundation’s mission is to do research to consolidate a complete inventory of the artist's works and to promote the work through exhibition, publication and mediation projects. A Concordia University fine arts graduate (1995), Marc Séguin is a multidisciplinary artist, painter, novelist and filmmaker. He is also a mentor at the faculty.
Context of the internship
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Marc Séguin Foundation, the intern will work on the Marc Séguin Catalogue Raisonné project.
The Catalogue Raisonné project aims to inventory the artist’s works, exhibition records, and critical reception. The intern’s mandate will be to support the management in various tasks related to the project’s completion:
research;
sorting and documentation;
digital archiving;
data entry into the online catalogue;
digitization of archives;
web communication and dissemination.
Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
This internship is intended for master’s students interested in visual arts, film, and literature, whose knowledge and skills include research, communication, archiving, and cultural mediation.
strong interest in art history, museology, and/or archival studies;
methodical, meticulous, and well-organized;
autonomous and versatile;
good knowledge of the art world and cultural sector;
excellent command of technology.
