Centre de Création O Vertigo
Mission/mandate/about the organisation
The Centre de Création O Vertigo – CCOV is devoted entirely to experimentation and creation in contemporary dance. With its short- and long-term residency programs, it allows local artists to produce high-quality, world-class works. The CCOV also presents a number of outreach and promotional activities for members of the dance community and public at large: performances, labs, traineeships, roundtables, etc.
Our mission at the Centre de Création O Vertigo is to contribute to contemporary dance’s evolution by efficiently supporting the research, creation and production of new choreographies. Our experienced team and fully equipped production centre:
- Responds to the specific needs of artists,
- Generates inspirational experiences for artists & public,
- Strives to engage a wide variety of dance artists and partner organizations.
Context of the internship:
The CCOV will soon open the doors to a new studio and performance space located at 900 rue Ontario E. Scheduled to open in January 2026, this venue will host a variety of activities: Residencies, workshops, performances, and events dedicated to Montreal’s dance community and beyond.
The CCOV is offering a part-time internship (January–April) to support the activities of this new space, under the supervision of the General Director and the Head of Coordination and Artist Support.
This internship provides an opportunity to explore different areas, such as:
- Technical assistance (inventory management and use of technical equipment)
- Production support (participating in the production of events and performances hosted by the CCOV)
- Coordination of activities and events (assisting with event coordination and community engagement)
