Agrégat

Mission
Founded in 2010, the artist-run centre Agrégat aims to place art at the heart of territorial and community development. By initiating inclusive and collaborative projects, the centre seeks to transform the dynamics of artistic production and establish art as a driving force for community growth, thanks to its ability to inspire imagination and action. Agrégat also works to transform the conditions of production and dissemination of visual arts in Longueuil, while promoting the role of art within the city and even in the business world.
Context of the internship
Agrégat is an artist-run centre based in Longueuil. We offer internships that provide immersive experiences in cultural management and community engagement. Interns can explore areas such as artist residencies, exhibition coordination, cultural mediation, and the intersection of art and social innovation. Opportunities include contributing to Art[à]faire a project integrating art into business, municipal, and industrial contexts, and supporting the relaunch of Agrégat’s modular space at the Atrium of Sherbrooke University (Longueuil metro station).
Interns will work closely with artists, the public, and the organization’s leadership. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds in the arts, culture, communications, and design, with interests in contemporary art, community development, and arts administration. Skillsets can range from project coordination and writing to mediation and event support.
