La Porte Rouge
Mission/mandate/about the organisation
La Porte Rouge is a (bilingual) place open to all those who love theatre — or who dream of discovering it.
We are a cooperative built by and for its community, offering professional artists the resources they need to support their practice: workspaces, ongoing training, and services tailored to their reality.
But La Porte Rouge is much more than a creative space: it's a living community where connections are made. We are committed to making theatre culture accessible to everyone, through theatre classes open to the community and quality performances at reduced prices.
Here, artistic, social, and community growth takes precedence over economic and technological development at any cost. We believe in a living theatre, rooted in its neighbourhood, that brings people together rather than dividing them — a space where everyone finds their place, whether they're an artist, an audience member, or simply curious.
