Position Description

This editorial assistantship supports the revision and strengthening of an FRQ research-creation grant application. The successful candidate will assist with restructuring and synthesizing application materials to improve clarity, coherence, and articulation of research outcomes, dissemination strategies, and knowledge mobilization plans.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Review and edit grant application materials for clarity, coherence, and flow.
  • Assist with restructuring sections of the application in response to reviewer feedback.
  • Support the articulation of research outcomes and dissemination strategies.
  • Help develop descriptions of scholarly, artistic, and public-facing knowledge mobilization activities.
  • Assist with integrating feedback into revised application materials.
  • Review written materials for consistency, style, and readability.
  • Other editorial and writing-related tasks as outlined by the Principal Investigator.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Excellent academic writing and editing skills.
  • Experience editing grant applications, academic manuscripts, or similar scholarly documents is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas and communicate them clearly.
  • Familiarity with arts-based, humanities, or research-creation scholarship is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
