If you cannot attend your Convocation Ceremony, you can pick up your diploma or ask us to mail it to you.
In person pick-up
If you are graduating in Spring 2020, you can pick up your diploma in person starting Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Room FB-900*, ninth floor.Remember to bring your student ID card with you!
Regular office hours:
Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Summer office hours:
(from June 12 - August 14, 2020)
Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Your diploma cannot be released if you have a balance owing on your student account. We will keep your diploma at the Birks Student Service Centre where you may pick it up when you settle your account. Please see Student Accounts for acceptable methods of payment.
Receive your diploma by mail
If you prefer to have your diploma mailed to you, complete the Diploma Mail-in Form and email, fax or mail it back to us. The mailing fee is $31.00 (CDN). Complete payment information is indicated on the form.
We send diplomas by Express Post to Canada and the USA. Mailing options for countries other than Canada and USA include Registered Mail, or courier (for additional fees). For Spring 2020 graduates, diplomas will be mailed beginning Tuesday, June 30, 2020 and sent in order of the date by which they were received.
Sending a proxy
You may send someone to pick up your diploma on your behalf, but that person must have written authorization signed by you. That authorization must include:
Your name and student ID number
The type of degree (i.e. BEng in Mechanical Engineering)
In addition, the person picking up your diploma must present their own photo ID with the written authorization.
If your diploma gets lost or destroyed, or if you legally change your name and would like it to appear on your diploma, you may request a replacement. There is a $100 (CDN) fee for this service.
A replacement diploma is as equally valid and legal as the original diploma, but it is not identical to the original. The replacement diploma includes the phrase "replaces the original diploma issued to the recipient." It also includes the date that the replacement diploma was issued as well as the date that the original degree was conferred.
You will be contacted by Enrolment Services once the replacement diploma is ready for pick up. Once notified, you may pick up your diploma at the Office of the Registrar (FB 900) or request to have it mailed. request to have it mailed.

Changing your legal name
Follow the procedure above and be sure to include the following documentation:
Your original diploma
Documentary proof of the change of name:
A birth certificate if born in Canada or USA
Certificate of Canadian Citizenship (both sides)
Permanent Resident Card (both sides)
Payment, either by cheque, money order, bank draft or credit card information
Concordia keeps diplomas on file for three years, after which they will be destroyed.
