Information on graduation, convocation and academic regalia.

Convocation versus graduation

Graduation is the culmination of years of dedication, growth, and academic achievement. It symbolizes the successful completion of your academic journey, marking a pivotal moment in your life.

Convocation is the optional celebration that follows graduation. It's a formal ceremony where students gather with fellow graduates, faculty, family, and friends to commemorate their accomplishments.

Concordia's traditional regalia

Academic regalia serves as a symbol of the graduate's educational accomplishments and the esteemed scholarly traditions of higher education. During academic ceremonies, graduating students don unique gowns and hoods.

Honorary doctorates

Concordia presents honorary degrees to individuals who have made their mark in a wide range of fields. We are proud to welcome our honorands to the Concordia community.
