Competition Description
The competition encourages undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a mathematics or statistics program (including a minor degree) at Concordia University to create a 1 minute and 1-second-long video, describing or explaining a mathematical and/or statistical concept using language aimed for a general, non-specific audience.

The competition goal is twofold; for mathematics outreach, and to supply undergraduate and graduate students with new tools for communication that can be useful in their future careers. Graduate students should be encouraged to create videos related to their research area.

To guarantee the success of the competition applicants, a pre-competition workshop will be held in person, and recorded for future use, where competitors will be given tips and tricks for communicating mathematical and statistical concepts to a general audience. Furthermore, a list of resources, including royalty and copyright free audio, videos, and video editing freeware will be supplied.
