Join us online as guest speaker Amir Locker-Biletzki shares the history of communism in Palestine/Israel as it is intertwined with his own political and intellectual journey.

Through the story of how he came to write the history of the communists in Israel and pre-1948 Palestine, he will shed light on the historiography of Communism in this region. By doing so he will place his rendition of the history of Israeli communism within its historiographical context. As he searched for a history in his own terms he wrote the history of the communists in their own terms.

About the speaker

Amir Locker-Biletzki is a research fellow at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies. His book Holidays of the Revolution deals with the cultural practices of the Jewish Communists in Palestine/ Israel.
