Alumni Award for Innovative Teaching

Eva Pomeroy currently holds the position of Social Innovator in Residence for the Faculty of Arts and Science and is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Human Sciences.

Building on two decades of experiential education experience that began at Outward Bound, the premier provider of outdoor-based experiential learning and leadership programs for youth and adults, she co-founded the Concordia U.lab Social Innovation Hub in 2016.

The Hub brings together students, staff, faculty and members of the local community and a global network of over 75,000 change makers. It is an experimental learning space to engage in a social innovation process based on the U.lab framework, to create fertile ground for community-based social innovation.

Eva’s research interests include transformative learning, learning in community, action research and social field change. Her mission is simple: she wants to create the change she wants to see in the world.
