Take the learning and study skills inventory
Take the learning and study skills inventory
The Learning and Study Skills Inventory (LASSI) helps you and the university evaluate what kind of support and conditions you need to be successful in pursuing your academic goals. The inventory provides a basis for improving all learning and study strategies and helps identify areas where you could most benefit from support.
To access LASSI, use the school number, username and password associated with your faculty. It should take approximately 20 minutes to answer 64 multiple choice questions. Along with the results, you will receive a guide to interpreting them. Your faculty will receive your results also.

The application asks you to reflect on your academic performance and personal situation. Please be prepared to answer the following questions in your own words:
- What factors led to your academic difficulties?
- Write a plan of the steps you will take to ensure your academic success if readmitted. What will you do differently this time? What resources could you connect with, either within Concordia or in the community?
- Think of an accomplishment you feel proud of or a challenging situation you have overcome. Tell us about that experience. What strengths led to those successes?
- Why is it important to you to return to your studies in the 2025-2026 academic year? What are your motivations and goals for continuing in your studies?
- For students who have been away from their studies for a year or more, you will need to tell us about your activities during that time.
When you have reached the end of the questions, save the PDF copy. Upload the PDF to your Student Centre. Click Upload Documents on the right side of your screen. (You may also wish to upload other documents in support of your application.) For document type, choose [your faculty: Arts & Science, Fine Arts, ENCS (GCS), JMSB, or Independent] – Readmission Application.
If you've submitted your application for readmission, you will receive a response to your preferred email. If you are offered readmission, you will need to honour certain conditions.
