Graduation portraits

Organized by the Concordia University Alumni Association, Lassman Studios sets up on the downtown campus to capture both traditional graduation portraits and personalized shots. Graduating students can book appointments that work for their schedule.

Class composite

Graduates may have their portrait included in their faculty’s graduating class mosaic.

Portraits at gown distribution

A photographer from GradImages will be at gown distribution so you can have your portrait taken. You will be able to do solo and group shots in your gowns

Portraits at Convocation

The Concordia University Alumni Association arranges for GradImages to take photos at the convocation ceremonies as well. These photos will be a little more rushed. A photographer will take your picture before you go on stage and as you cross the stage. This process moves quickly due to the number of graduates.

GradImages will contact you within two weeks after convocation. They will present you with sample proofs that you can pick and choose from, as well as an order form. You can also visit the GradImages website to search for your photos by name and grad year.

Flickr photostreams

Concordia's Flickr photostreams are the university's most complete recording of convocation ceremonies. Photographers come out in force to make sure the day is covered. Ask the on-site photographers to take photos during the special day.

Gifts and souvenirs

Flowers

Fresh cut flowers are available for purchase at the ceremonies. A pre-sale of cut flowers also allows to order them in advance.

Frames

Concordia University and John Molson School of Business diploma frames are available through the Concordia Book Stop, along with other convocation memorabilia. Frames will also be sold at Place des Arts during convocation at Place des Arts.

Memorabilia

The Concordia Book Stop offers wide-ranging options for gifts, collectibles and apparel for those interested in memorabilia.

Unofficial cap

Concordia's academic regalia only includes a gown and a hood. Mortarboards (graduation caps) are not a part of Concordia's tradition, however they are available to pre-purchase as a souvenir at gown distribution. At your gown distribution appointment, mention to the gown rental company that you would like to purchase one. You will be required to pay for it at that time and given a receipt to present at convocation. Mortarboards are picked up after your convocation ceremony.
