The Fantasia International Film Festival will celebrate its 30th edition with an electrifying program of screenings, workshops, and launch events running from July 16 through August 2.

Join us for the premiere of a 45‑minute documentary exploring Quebec City through the experiences of three English-speaking newcomers. Set within a predominantly francophone environment, the film traces their daily lives as they navigate language, identity, and belonging in the city. Personal stories are complemented by insights from local English-language organizations engaged in reception and settlement work, as well as a broader look at the history of English-language immigration to Quebec City. Blending video ethnography and research-creation, the documentary by QUESCREN Research Associate Anita Aloisio captures adaptation in real time. Screening followed by Q&A and refreshments.
