Please note: Cancellations made by telephone will not be accepted.
- Training participants whose cancellation request is received more than 48 hours prior to the training session date, will not incur a cancellation fee.
- Training participants who cancel less than 48 hours of the scheduled session or fail to attend the training session will incur a 25$ cancellation fee upon their next subscription.
Course cancellation by the Security Department
Should it be necessary for the Security Department to cancel a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, lack of available venue or defective equipment, your registration will be transferred to another course.
We are happy to announce that Campus Security and Emergency Services has started transitioning training for faculty and staff to the Learning Management System, available on Unity. The goal behind this move is to centralize training information, registration, and delivery, whenever possible.
You can access these courses via My CU Account > Training > Employee Training > My Learning or by clicking on this link to UNITY’s My Learning.
Please note that part-time faculty members linked to the Concordia University Part-Time Faculty Association (CUPFA) and the Concordia University Continuing Education Part-Time Faculty Union (CUCEPFU) will need to register for their courses via the campus security and emergency services training calendar when between contracts. Students will still need to register for their courses via the training calendar as well.
A feature of the new system is email notifications. Going forward, faculty and staff will receive notifications prior to the expiry of their security and emergency training certifications. They will be sent to your Concordia email address. Notifications will remind you to renew your safety training.
