​ Extended Term Appointment as Lecturer in Clinical Psychology​

​​The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for an Extended Term Appointment (ETA) in Clinical Psychology at the rank of Lecturer. The candidate is expected to teach graduate courses in the Clinical Psychology MA/PhD program mandated by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ). The candidate will teach lecture-based and practicum courses in the areas of psychopathology, diagnostic evaluation, evidence-based interventions, and ethics. They will also provide clinical training and supervision in child and/or adult assessment and/or intervention. In addition, the candidate will be trained to take on the role of Clinic Director of the in-house Applied Psychology Centre which serves the community and provides supervised clinical training for graduate students. The candidate will also eventually take on direction of external practicum placements.​

Faculty members holding ETA positions at Concordia are full-time faculty members whose primary duties include teaching and service, with no research obligations. The appointment affords the possibility of promotion and permanent status.

​​Qualified current employees of Concordia University, as well as qualified external candidates, are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a CPA- (or equivalent) accredited program and have expertise in clinical assessment or intervention for children or adults. They must be an OPQ-licensed psychologist with at least two years of clinical experience in a hospital or similar professional setting. The successful candidate must be able to work with clients and professionals in both English and French.
