Larissa Zemke

Larissa is a masters of design graduate student with a Bachelor's of Science in International Trade and Marketing and an Associates degree in Textile/Surface Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Her academic and professional training in the fashion industry spans capitals of New York, London, Paris, Vienna, Montreal and Kyoto. Most recently she spent one year in Japan conducting field research on local sustainable traditional and contemporary textiles practices for her thesis. Her research focuses on developing sustainable solutions for the global fashion industry. Larissa studying in the Department of Design and Computation Arts at Concordia University under the supervision of Professor pk langshaw.

The title of Larissa's thesis is Rethinking Textiles in an Age of Waste.
