The Loyola Sustainability Research Centre
The mission of the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre (LSRC) is to promote a transdisciplinary approach to research and education about relationships among natural, human, and technological systems through basic and applied research, research creation, and art and design.
Our understanding of environmental issues and their societal context emphasizes interactions between social and ecological systems from local to global scales, a problem-oriented choice of methods, and solution-oriented integration of results from different perspectives. The LSRC brings faculty members, students, and post-doctoral associates from across the university together to explore the many facets of sustainability and resilience. The LSRC supports research synthesis and knowledge transfer that are relevant for decision making, policies, and a transition toward a culture of sustainability.
The Loyola Sustainability Research Centre endorses Concordia University's territorial acknowledgement, which acknowledges that we are located on unceded Indigenous lands of which the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation are the recognized custodians.
