A number of different services are available to address your medical concerns.
At Concordia
Concordia Health Services
Health Services is your on-campus wellness clinic and health promotion centre. We offer routine appointments in-person, as well as some virtual appointments and walk-ins.
Health Services operates Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you are experiencing an emergency, call 9-1-1 or consult our crisis resources. For more urgent care services, if the clinic is full, or for afterhours care, please consult the additional resources on this page.
After-hours services
Do you have any concerns about your health? Are you experiencing difficulties or distress? Not sure what type of professional you need to see and whether your condition is urgent?
Call 811 to speak with an Info-Sante nurse or Info-Social social worker. The service is free and available to anyone in Quebec, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If 811 does not work on your phone, dial 1-866-567-4036.
Your pharmacist can also help with certain medical issues. Find out what your pharmacist can do for you.
Tele-medicine services offered through Concordia's health plans are also a great option.

- Medical consultations on the same or next day: Enter your postal code to find clinics near you in Quebec. This service is free.
- Bonjour Santé: Find walk-in doctor appointments near you within 24 hours in Quebec. Fees apply.
- If you do NOT have a family doctor AND are on waitlist for a family doctor, you can access the GAP service to be referred to the appropriate resource: Call 811, then press 3; OR 514-890-6111 OR check out their website.
- Queen Elizabeth Health Complex Urgent Care Super Clinic: can be accessed via Rendez-vous Santé Québec (RVSQ) or the GAP service (info above). Has radiology on-site, so a good option if you think you might need an X-ray. Find more information about accessing services.
- Metro Medic: For same-day or next-day appointments, call 514-932-2122 or visit their website.
- Centre Médical Mieux-Être: various locations across the city. If you have a Quebec Medicare (RAMQ) card, you can try booking via RVSQ as of 5:30 p.m. for next day appointments.
- Local community services centre (CLSC): Find listings of CLSCs through Portail santé mieux-être. Offers walk-in nursing care.
- If you don’t have a Quebec Medicare card – for example, students covered by Blue Cross or students who have an out-of-province Medicare card – you may be able to use a telemedicine resource such as Maple or Lumino.
- Queen Elizabeth Health Complex Urgent Care Super Clinic: Students who are from out-of-province or covered by the Blue Cross health plan can call the clinic directly to book an appointment: 514-481-4343. Has radiology on-site, so a good option if you think you might need an X-ray.
- Metro Medic: For same-day or next-day appointments, call 514-932-2122, choose your preferred language and press 6, or email your out-of-province health card or Blue Cross information, Concordia student card and phone number to info@metromedic.com.
- Finding a resource offering medical consultation on the same or next day: Virtual and in-person appointments.

Enter your postal code and call a clinic near you to check if they can see you. Be sure to ask about fees/whether they accept your insurance, etc. - Centre Médical Mieux-Être: various locations across the city. Call the location convenient to you to book.
- If you want to go private, verify with your insurance provider what they will cover and what you will pay out-of-pocket.
Note: You do not need to be registered with a family doctor to access medical care at Concordia Health Services.
If you are not registered with a family doctor, you can also access a doctor through the Primary Care Access Point (Guichet d’accès à la première ligne, GAP). If you are not insured through RAMQ, you should still have access but may have to pay some fees upfront.
- If you have a Quebec Medicare card, and would like to register with a family doctor, add yourself to the waitlist here.
- If your family doctor is no longer available (for example, they retired), find instructions to cancel your registration and/or join the waitlist for a new doctor.

Telemedicine services (available within Canada)
Telemedicine services offer 24/7, confidential virtual care, and are available to many Concordia student and employees. Health professionals including nurses, doctors and counsellors can provide diagnosis, prescriptions or referrals with virtual appointments. These services are best used for minor health issues that can be addressed within one consultation.
Maple/Online doctors: Available to all undergraduate students (who did not opt-out of the telemedicine fee) and to all international undergraduate and graduate students who are insured under the BlueCross health insurance plan and living in Canada.

Lumino Health Virtual Care: Available to faculty and staff covered by the Concordia Health Plan. The telemedicine feature offered through Lumino also extends to dependents. To access this service, have your medical contract and member ID numbers ready to register when you log in.
- If you're located in Canada, you can use the Lumino Health search tool to find healthcare providers in your province or territory. Appointments are virtual and/or in-person. Use of the search tool is free, but providers do charge fees for their services.
- Telehealth lines across Canada: Connect with a nurse or social worker 24/7 for advice and referrals to medical care in your area.

Dental and vision care
- For students covered by CSU or GSA health plans, Studentcare networks provide discounted rates for dental care and vision care. Consult your insurance plan for more information.
- Quebec’s network of independent dental hygienists-run clinics offer prices that are often more affordable than those provided in traditional dentist-run clinics. Use their search engine to find a clinic near you (website in French only, so use your browser extension to translate as needed).
Injury treatment & rehabilitation
These services can assess and treat injuries, as well as help you develop a supervised rehabilitation plan.
- Concordia Health Services: The clinic provides diagnosis, treatment and referrals for injuries for Concordians. Call 514-848-2424 ext. 3565 to book an appointment.
- Concordia University's School of Health: The School offers athletic therapy and more for all Concordians and the wider community.
Medical notes and absences
Medical accommodations are available to staff, faculty and students when a medical concern interferes with work or studies. Academic accommodations are put in place to reduce barriers for students with a disabling condition, including temporary disabilities.
- Access Centre for Students with Disabilities: The ACSD provides academic accommodations to students with a disabling condition, including temporary disabilities that are the result of illness or injury.
- Short-term absence form: Students can submit a request for short-term medical accommodation without documentation like a medical note.
- Medical notes: Concordia is not requesting medical notes if you are self-isolating following public health guidelines for COVID-19. Consult the Medical Notes page for more information.
- MED notations: Learn what to do if a long-term medical situation interferes with your final exams or major course requirements.
- DEF notations: Learn what to do if you miss a final exam due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control.
