CU Wellness

Spaces and support for student wellness

CU Wellness offers spaces, activities and peer support to help you make wellness part of your student life.

Join a wellness activity or workshop, talk with a peer wellness ambassador or unwind in one of our Zen Dens.

Activities & workshops

Take a break with movement, mindfulness and creative activities, or build skills through workshops led by wellness professionals.

Look out for cooking and dance classes, sound baths, art therapy and therapy dogs. Workshops led by counsellors explore topics such as relationships, motivation, stress management, perfectionism and academic and emotional well-being.

Peer support & active listening

Peer wellness ambassadors are students trained in peer support and active listening.

Peer support can help you:

  • Talk through something you’re experiencing in a judgement-free space
  • Reflect on your situation and explore your options
  • Find support and resources at Concordia or in the community

Wellness ambassadors are not counsellors and do not provide advice or personal opinions. Instead, they can help you think through what might be helpful and identify resources that fit your situation.

If you need help now, consult our emergency resources which can provide immediate support.

Visit the Zen Dens

Our Zen Dens are calm spaces where you can take a break between classes, meditate, draw, journal or have a quiet conversation. They are tech- and food-free spaces designed for reflection, self-care and relaxation.

Our five locations

The Zen Dens are open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
