CU Volunteer Crew
Be part of a team helping community organizations while having fun, making friends and gaining skills.
Our program is a community-based experiential learning program. We recruit teams of volunteers who volunteer together with a local non-profit organization. We make sure that teams are prepared for their experience and help them reflect on the skills they've gained.

George & Helene Coward Endowment Fund
This program is offered free of charge to Concordia Students thanks to the support of the George and Helen Coward Endowment Fund. CU Volunteer Crew is the evolution of a program formerly known as Alternative Spring Break (ASB). The ASB program received a generous donation at the bequest of the late Kenneth Coward, and had been named in honour of his parents Helene and George Coward. It is intended to facilitate access and encourage students to engage in critical thinking and personal reflection in order to enrich their academic experience and foster civic responsibility.
FutureBound
Completion of the CU Volunteer Crew reading week program can be applied towards the completion of your Core Skill Modules in FutureBound. CU Volunteer Crew is the equivalent of completing 4 activities (2 Leadership & Collaboration, 1 Communication & Digital Capabilities, 1 Career Development).
