The regulatory landscape of online gambling

Conference Series on online gambling

Online gambling activities are discreet, fast-paced, constantly available, and becoming more popular in Quebec. At the same time, research tells us that people who gamble online are at increased risk for experiencing gambling-related harms. How should Quebec’s gambling policies and priorities evolve to minimize the incidence of harms related to online gambling?

The Research Chair on Gambling at Concordia University in collaboration with its research partners is proud to present this event featuring four leading experts on the topics of online gambling, regulation, and public health. Join Drs. Mylène Drouin (Public Health Regional Director, Montreal), Jean-Michel Costes (Director of research of the Ministry of health, France), Ingo Fiedler (Blockchain Research lab), and Sasha Stark (Gambling Research Exchange Ontario), who will discuss the regulatory landscape of online gambling, and future directions in gambling harm reduction. This event will include a panel of presenters followed by a Q&A period.

This symposium is available both in-person, and online. Live translation is available in English and French.
