Building overview

Originally built in 1964 as Loyola’s first library, this structure became known as the Vanier Extension after the new Vanier Library opened in 1989. Today, the Extension offers flexible, digitally equipped classrooms and also houses spaces for the Department of Applied Human Sciences.

The building is directly connected to the Vanier Library and other campus buildings, and features public art, including The Four Horsemen by François Houde, installed in 1989.
