Our downtown indoor parking garages are open to the public and the Concordia community.

With convenient locations and competitive daily rates, we are the perfect spot whether you’re heading to class, coming into the office, or simply running errands downtown.

LB building indoor garage

The LB garage offers convenient downtown parking via the Mackay Street entrance. Directly connected to the Concordia Library building, our garage is just steps away from Sainte-Catherine Street and De Maisonneuve Boulevard. Ideally located only minutes from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, it is the perfect parking spot for museum visitors and those exploring Montreal.

Notes

  • Maximum vehicle height permitted: 2.1 metres
  • Plug-in electric vehicles: Two 120-volt outlets are available; these simple plug-in outlets are free to use.
  • The 10-24 hours rate is based on a consecutive usage of 10 hours or more starting from your entry time in the parking. The rate also applies to overnight parking. 
  • Parking restrictions: Long-term storage of vehicles is not permitted. Offenders will be ticketed by the city of Montreal.
  • Once you have paid your fees, you have 10 minutes to exit the parking garage.

FB building indoor garage

The FB garage is centrally located with a convenient entrance on Guy Street, providing direct indoor access to the Faubourg building. It is just a short walk from Sainte-Catherine Street and offers easy access to the underground tunnel leading to the Guy-Concordia metro station. Ideal for visitors seeking secure parking downtown.

  • Maximum vehicle height permitted: 1.8 metres
  • Plug-in electric vehicles: Five 240-volt Circuit Électrique charging stations are available. The cost is $1 per hour of charging in addition to the applicable regular parking rate. The Circuit Électrique card is required to use the charging stations.  
  • The 10-24 hours rate is based on a consecutive usage of 10 hours or more starting from your entry time in the parking. The rate also applies to overnight parking.

Special parking requests

Parking Services can help you organize parking arrangements for larger events or conferences taking place on campus. Visitors and members of the Concordia community planning an event that will require parking on campus must complete the request form at least 10 days prior to the event. Spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices vary depending on the day, time and location.

Downtown parking FAQ

Yes. Both the downtown LB and FB garages are open to the public—anyone can park in these facilities.

To access the LB Garage, go to the main entrance at 1453 rue Mackay and press the intercom located outside the building. Indicate that you need access to the parking garage, and you will be granted entry. Once inside, take the first elevators down to level 0 or 00. You must pay at the payment terminal before exiting the garage; it is located near the elevator on level 0.

To access the FB Garage, go to the main entrance at 1230 Guy Street. The elevators to the garage are located past the security desk, along with the payment terminal. You must pay at the payment terminal before exiting the garage.

If you lose your parking ticket, you must go to the payment terminal before exiting the garage and press “Lost ticket.” The lost ticket fee will apply.

  • For the LB Garage (1453 rue Mackay), the payment terminal is located near the elevator on level 0.
  • At the Faubourg Garage (1230 Guy Street), it is located on the ground floor near the security desk.

If you get stuck inside the garage, please use the intercom button located at the exit barrier. In case of an emergency, you can call Campus Safety and Prevention Services at 514-848-3717.

Yes, overnight parking is permitted at the LB and FB garages for up to three days. The applicable overnight rate will be charged upon exit. Long-term vehicle storage is not permitted, and violators may be ticketed by the City of Montreal. For exceptions, please contact parking@concordia.ca to obtain authorization.

No, monthly parking permits are not available for the LB and FB garages.

In the event of an accident, you must immediately report to Parking Services at 514-848-2424, ext. 8777, email us at parking@concordia.ca or call the Campus Safety and Prevention Services at 514-848-3717.

No. There are no short-term or drop-off areas within the parking facilities, including the alleyway on Mackay Street. You may not leave your vehicle in an unauthorized area, even for a short time. Vehicles left in or near the parking facilities without authorization, will be ticketed or towed, and the responsibility for payment shall be at the vehicle owner's expense.
