Campus Safety and Prevention Services (CSPS) is bringing you a week full of activities, training, and interactive events - all designed to boost your emergency know-how and keep our community prepared.

Think of it as your crash course in staying safe, with hands-on learning, fun challenges, and ways to get involved. Let’s build a safer, stronger Concordia, together.

Here’s what to expect:

From spotting safety features around campus to practicing communication strategies, each challenge tests your knowledge and helps you learn by doing - without being boring.

  • Interactive - Quick, easy challenges you can do on campus or from your phone.
  • Social - Share your participation with #StopThinkPrepare and tag Newton + CSPS.
  • Rewarding - Daily prize draws with gift cards, safety kits, and more.

What you need to do:

Follow Campus Safety and Prevention Services on Facebook and Newton’s social media so you don’t miss a challenge. Newton and friends will show you the ropes in fun, student-friendly posts.

Become CERTified!

Join the Concordia Emergency Response Team (CERT) and be part of a our volunteer group that helps out during evacuations and other on-campus emergencies. No scheduled shifts or off-campus duties - CERT members take action if an emergency happens in the building they’re in.

Student Safety Patrol
