Register/drop a workshop

How to register for a workshop

If the workshop is open for registration and has seats available, than you will see a blue "Register Now" button in the top-right-hand corner of the workshop description page. This button will direct you to MyConcordia.

If no seats are available, than you will see a yellow "Add me to waitlist" button in the top-right-hand corner. 

If there is no button, than the workshop is not currently scheduled. 

The following steps will guide you though the MyConcordia registration process:

  1. Log in to MyConcordia.
  2. Click on "My Student Centre".
  3. Under “Academics”, click “Enroll”.  
  4. Under “Non Credit Courses”, choose “Professional Development” and the term. Click "Continue".
  5. Find the class, by clicking on “Search” under “Find Classes”. 
  6. For the search criteria, choose “Professional Development” under course career. Type the workshop code in subject and course number. You can find this information on our website. Click "Search".
  7. Select the workshop that you would like to register. 
  8. Read the enrollment information and make a note of the schedule information. Note: our workshops are not a13 week session.  Click "next".
  9. You will see the course in your “Shopping Cart” - click on “Proceed to Step 2 of 3”.
  10. To confirm your enrollment click on “Finish Enrolling”. You should see the message “Success: This class has been added to your schedule.”

Please note: The last day to register for a workshop is the same as the drop deadline date. If the workshop's drop deadline has passed, you need to contact the GradProSkills office to be manually registered.  Send an email to gradproskills.registration@concordia.ca, and include the workshop code and date, your full name and student number.


Add your name to the waitlist

Add me to waitlist
  1. Locate the workshop you wish to register for on the GradProSkills website and open the workshop’s description page.
  2. From the specific workshop’s description page, click on the “Add me to Waitlist” button on the right-hand side of your screen.
  3. You will be promted to enter your student netname and password. Your information will be automatically populated. Please verify the workshop information, read the registration policy, and verify that all fields are completed. Then click on the “submit” button.
  4. You will receive a form submission confirmation screen and a confirmation email indicating that you have been added to the waitlist. 
  5. If a space becomes available you will be enrolled in the workshop and notified by email.
  • From the specific workshop’s description page, click on the “Register” button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • You will be promoted to complete the GradProSkills Workshop Registration form. Complete all fields and click on the “submit” button.
  • You will receive a form submission confirmation screen and email.  This does not mean that you have been successfully registered in the workshop.  You will receive a second email within three (3) business days confirming if you are registered or waitlisted for the workshop.
  • Should you wish to register for additional workshops, you must repeat steps 2-6.
  • Go to the GradProSkills website: http://gradstudies.concordia.ca/gradproskills/.
  • Locate the the workshop you wish to register for using the search upcoming workshops, the calendar, or the list of workshops by skill domains.
  • Click on the workshop name to open the workshop’s description page.
  • From the specific workshop’s description page, click on the “Register” button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • You will be promoted to complete the GradProSkills Workshop Registration form. Complete all fields and click on the “submit” button.
  • You will receive a form submission confirmation screen and email.  This does not mean that you have been successfully registered in the workshop.  You will receive a second email within three (3) business days confirming if you are registered or waitlisted for the workshop.

  • Locate the the workshop you wish to register for using the search upcoming workshops, the calendar, or the list of workshops by skill domains.
  • Click on the workshop name to open the workshop’s description page.
  • From the specific workshop’s description page, click on the “Register” button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • You will be promoted to complete the GradProSkills Workshop Registration form. Complete all fields and click on the “submit” button.
  • You will receive a form submission confirmation screen and email.  This does not mean that you have been successfully registered in the workshop.  You will receive a second email within three (3) business days confirming if you are registered or waitlisted for the workshop.
  • Should you wish to register for additional workshops, you must repeat steps 2-6.

  • View the workshop(s) for which you are registered:

    1. Log in to MyConcordia
    2. Click on My Student Centre – then again on My Student Centre.
    3. Click on “Search for Classes” in the upper right side of the screen.
    4. Click on the purple “Enroll” tab located at the top of the screen.
    5. Select the current semester and “Professional Development” as the “Career”.  Click “continue”
    6. You can see the schedule at the bottom of the screen. The classes with a green checkmark indicate the classes you are enrolled in, the classes with a blue X indicate the workshops which you have dropped

    Drop a workshop for which you are registered:

    Please note: Students dropping a workshop must do so within the deadline, otherwise they will be marked as Did Not Attend (DNA) and charged the non-attendance fee. To know the drop deadline and non-attendance fee for a specific workshop, you must refer to the individual workshop’s description on the GradProSkills website or in My Student Centre.

    1. Log in to MyConcordia
    2. Click on My Student Centre – then again on My Student Centre.
    3. Click on “Search for Classes” in the upper right side of the screen.
    4. Click on the purple “Enroll” tab located at the top of the screen.
    5. Select the current semester and “Professional Development” as the “Career”.  Click “continue.”
    6. Click on the purple sub tab “drop.”
    7. Select the workshop you wish to drop then click on “drop selected classes.”
    8. To confirm your selection, click on “finish dropping.”
