Next-gen. Now.

MY NAME IS
HILLARY KAELL

I trace how we imagine and experience global connections — without going anywhere.

Nearly one third of the earth’s population is Christian. At a basic level, it’s a religion that understands all human beings as connected through one creator and eventual judge.

My work asks how North American Christians who don’t travel abroad try to foster global connections by cultivating discourse, imaginaries, sensations, and embodied exercises.

The resulting networks — both real and imagined — have major ramifications for how people give charitably, pray, and aspire to a different future.

My name is Hillary Kaell, and I’m an associate professor in the Department of Religions and Cultures.
