PhD Career Connect offers PhD candidates, recent graduates and postdocs resources and opportunities to explore diverse career paths and expand their professional network. Every spring, this unique program brings together students, mentors and employers through workshops, panel discussions, mock interviews and networking opportunities.

PhD Career Connect 2027

The sixth iteration of PhD Career Connect will begin in April 2027 and will end with our popular networking event in June.

The networking event consists of career panels on various topics, as well as a networking lunch and cocktail, meant to provide PhD students and postdoctoral scholars with the opportunity to broaden their network and discover diverse careers.

The model

PhD Career Connect selects a multidisciplinary cohort of PhD candidates, recent graduates and postdocs to participate in weekly career development workshops and a final networking event that offers the opportunity to learn about diverse careers outside of academia and expand their professional network.
 

PhD Career Connect was modelled after the award-winning graduate training program titled Accelerate to Industry (A2I) which originated from North Carolina State University.
