Counselling & Psychological Services
Counselling and Psychological Services provides short-term counselling to currently registered Concordia students.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, find immediate support.
Our services
Counselling and Psychological Services offers short-term counselling to registered Concordia students who are in Quebec. Our services can help you find new approaches to managing persistent mental health concerns and challenging life situations.
Counselling plans — including the number of sessions and their frequency — vary according to your needs. Many students make significant progress within three to five sessions.
Some services go beyond the scope of our practice as a short-term counselling centre. If you require long-term care or specialized services, we will refer you to the appropriate care or service provider.
We offer both virtual and in-person appointments. Please note that under Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ) guidelines, appointments are only available to students residing in Quebec.
For holistic and timely support, we encourage you to review all the mental health services at your disposal. This includes off-campus services and tele-counselling lines that are covered by student association insurance policies, as well as private policies you may be covered under.
For more resources, consult our mental health service list.
Workshops & events
Check out CU Wellness for workshops and events available to all students.

Intake appointments
Mental health intake appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to currently enrolled Concordia students who are living in Quebec.
At an intake appointment, you will meet with a mental health professional who will assess your needs and refer you to services.
