Helpful tips
- Students are encouraged to register for their classes as early as possible, as the university cannot guarantee course availability or automatically enroll students.
- The Faculty of Arts and Science prepared an elective list for students looking for general electives.
- For Fall admits, the "first term" begins in September and the "second term" starts in January. For Winter admits, the "first term" begins in January and the "second term" starts in September. Students interested in taking classes during the Summer term should check course availability and consult an advisor.
Exemptions
- Students with 'ECON A' or 'MATH A' exemptions should begin with ECON 201, ECON 203 and MATH 206. If unsure about math readiness, we recommend completing the online self-assessment before selecting a course.
- Students who have exemptions for required ECON courses (e.g., ECON 201, 203) must substitute them with another ECON course, or with COMP 218 or GEOG 380, to fulfill program requirements.
