Gina Cody, MEng 81, PhD 89, made history as the first woman to earn a PhD in building engineering from Concordia. Two decades later, her $15-million gift to Concordia transformed the former Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science into the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, Canada’s first engineering faculty named after a woman.
