CARE is an annual celebration recognizing the outstanding achievements of our students and valued employer partners. 

On May 13, 2025, the Institute for Co⁠-⁠operative Education proudly presents CARE, our annual event recognizing the contributions of our students and employer partners who go above and beyond. This year, we are especially pleased to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Institute, honouring many years of excellence in experiential learning. Join us for an inspiring evening of recognition, connection, and appreciation.

Meet our panelists

 

Anne Nguyen

Anne Nguyen, Chief AI Officer at the Quebec Council for Innovation since January 2024, has been driving the adoption of AI across the province. In 2023, she spearheaded the Institutional Data Strategy at CHUM as Chief Health Data Officer, cultivating a data-centric culture. At Logibec (Nov. 2020 - Dec. 2022), she fueled innovation by expanding opportunity streams beyond Quebec through analytics-driven products. During her tenure at the Montreal Heart Institute (Nov. 2016 - Oct. 2020), she led digital transformation efforts and managed large-scale projects. A Harvard Business School graduate in Business Analytics, certified in Product Management and Lean Six Sigma, Anne is a passionate advocate for women in science.

Johanne Bohn

Johanne Bohn is a bilingual leader in talent and organizational development with over 20 years of experience across industries, including roles at CN, Cogeco, Keurig Dr Pepper, Yellow Pages, and L’Oréal. She specializes in building inclusive, high-performing cultures and designing talent strategies that deliver measurable results. Johanne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in HR Management from Concordia University and is an alumnus of the Institute for Co-operative Education. She holds certifications in ICF-accredited coaching, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and various psychometric tools. Passionate about community impact, she serves on the boards of Girl Guides of Canada and St. Gabriel’s Elementary School, and volunteers in food security efforts. A natural connector and activator, Johanne is driven to bring people together, optimize systems, and lead people-first transformation.

Niayesh Sanaat

Niayesh Sanaat is a final-year Industrial Engineering student at Concordia University who thrives on creating impact and helping others succeed. She worked as a Project Management Intern at CBC/Radio-Canada on a community-focused project, which inspired her to continue part-time to support its success. During her undergraduate degree, she has also done internships at General Electric, RONA, and CMP, focused on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and strategic consulting. Over the past year, Niayesh has been active in student associations, organizing events like Industry Week (2022, 2023), the first edition of Upstart (an entrepreneurship competition), and training Concordia’s team for the 2024 Canadian Industrial Engineering Conference—where the team won two silver and one bronze medal. To Niayesh, success means empowering others and leaving a positive impact, whether through mentoring, events, or meaningful projects.

Shawn Bruno

Shawn Bruno joined Pratt & Whitney Canada in 2000 and has held progressively senior roles in Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Management. Known for his leadership and collaborative approach, he has contributed significantly in both technical and customer-focused roles. He currently serves as Director of P&WC’s Centraide (United Way) CSR initiative, leading impactful community efforts across Greater Montreal. Previously, he managed Tier-1 aerospace suppliers across Quebec and North America. From 2022 to 2024, he co-founded and co-led P&WC’s first Employee Resource Group, promoting the advancement of Black professionals. Shawn holds a DEC in Electrotechnology from Vanier College, a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University, a certificate in Quality Management from ETS, is a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) with ASQ, and a licensed Residential Real Estate broker in Quebec.
