Awards & Criterias

The online nomination forms for CARE 2019 were sent out via email in February 2019.

Bellwether Award

(for an individual)

Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a Concordia Co-op graduate who has made inroads into a company and championed the hiring of Co-op students for work terms in the current academic year
  • The candidate has been a strong believer and a great supporter of Co-op

Concordia Alumnus Co-op Award

(for an individual)

Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a Concordia alumnus who has made inroads into a company and championed the hiring of Co-op students for work terms in the current academic year
  • The candidate has been a strong believer and a great supporter of Co-op

Co-op Staff's Choice Award

(for an individual)

Criteria:

  • The candidate has an excellent working relationship with the Co-op Program Coordinator
  • The candidate has mentored, coached, and guided Co-op students
  • The candidate has demonstrated flexibility to adjust for the benefit of the students
  • The candidate is truly committed to Co-op

Co-op Top Employers

(up to 5 companies)

Criteria:

  • The company has hired Co-op students on a regular basis over the years, despite their company size
  • The company has provided interships that add to students’ learning experience on the job and in class
  • The company has overall provided high-caliber and relevant work term experience that exceeds students’ initial expectations
  • The company has shown continuous commitment to supporting Co-op programs and Co-op students – a true partner of the Institute

Students' Choice Award

(up to 3 individuals)

Criteria:

  • The award recognizes employers and supervisors who have had a significant impact on the students' overall work term experiences and their professional and personal growth
  • Nominated by Co-op students
