Concordians receive top honours in 2024

In addition to our Great Concordians, other notable distinctions included:

Vincent René-Lortie, BFA 17, was nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category for his film InvincibleAlexandre Nour Desjardins, BFA 17, served as the film’s cinematographer.

Justine Martin, BFA 23, was shortlisted for an Academy Award in the Documentary Short Film category for Oasis.

Ordre de Montréal

Four Concordians were named to the Ordre de Montréal in honour of their achievements and contributions to the city.

Order of Canada

Nine Concordians were among the latest appointees to the Order of Canada announced in June and December 2024. The country’s top honour is bestowed by Governor General Mary Simon in recognition of exceptional contributions to the country.
