Ordinary people lead extraordinary lives
Sometimes we think history is out there, somewhere: beyond reach. But history inhabits each of us.
Oral history taps people’s remembered lives – putting a face and a name to what is often understood in the abstract or the aggregate. It seeks to learn with communities and not simply about them.
My name is Steven High and I’m the founder of the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling.
