Dr. Shide Salimi

Harvard Research Fellow | Concordia Alumna (MSc + PhD) 

Shide Salimi, PhD, PMP, is a civil engineer specializing in structural design, project management, construction management, and energy efficiency. With extensive experience across academia and industry, Shide currently serves as a Research Fellow at Harvard University and a High Performance Building Analyst at Vanderweil Engineers in Boston. She holds a PhD in Energy Management and Efficiency from Concordia University and continues to actively support her alma mater through charitable fundraising efforts, including Concordia’s Centraide Campaign and Shuffle.

Isra Abo Iqsaysa

PhD Student at Concordia University | Volt-Age Ambassador | Fulbright Alumna

Isra Abo Iqsaysa is an electrical engineer and sustainability professional specializing in energy systems, microgrids, and renewable energy integration. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Concordia University in Montreal, where her research focuses on optimizing energy management strategies to improve energy access and promote sustainability. A Volt-Age Doctoral Fellowship recipient and LEED Green Associate™, Isra brings a multidisciplinary background that includes a Master’s in Sustainability and Energy Management from Eastern Illinois University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. As a passionate advocate for the energy transition, she actively mentors students and contributes to sustainability initiatives both on campus and beyond.
