How we support you
Whether you're chasing a prestigious external scholarship or already holding an internal award, the Graduate Awards Office is here to support you at every stage.
We help you put together a competitive scholarship application — through coaching, workshops, and one-on-one guidance — and we walk you through the procedures, guidelines, and requirements you need to know along the way. Whatever stage you're at, you don't have to figure it out alone.
From proposal drafting through to disbursement and recognition, the Awards Office works alongside students, supervisors and Graduate Program Directors throughout the lifecycle of every application.
1
One-on-one advising, draft reviews, peer review sessions, and workshop series (GradProSkills + faculty-specific) to help you build a competitive application
2
Ongoing dialogue with your Graduate Program Director on best practices and funding strategy in your department, plus coaching for the supervisors writing your reference letters.
3
Coordination of institutional adjudication committees for the internal pre-selection of candidates — making sure your application moves through a fair and timely process aligned with agency requirements.
4
Management of multiple award competitions, from intake to disbursement. You receive your payments on time and in full compliance with agency and university requirements.
5
Strategic communications for announcing award results, celebrating your achievement across Concordia channels, and amplifying your success story.
6
Annual reporting on application outcomes by faculty, success rates, and student engagement — a data-informed approach so the support you receive keeps improving year over year.
