The objective of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Master's Training Scholarships is to help support and spark the interest of the next generation of students in all research sectors: natural sciences, mathematical sciences and engineering (Nature and technologies), human health (Health), human and social sciences, arts and letters (Society and culture).
You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident AND have a health insurance card issued by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ)
OR
You must present proof of admission to a program of study eligible for this scholarship program at a Quebec university; or an acceptance form from the research supervisor at a Quebec university (found online on the FRQnet application as “Supervisor’s form”).
You cannot have completed more than three full-time terms (one year) in your master’s program as of May 1 following the application deadline. You can apply before starting the program.
You must have a minimum unrounded CGPA or the equivalent in your undergraduate degree:
The application e-form is available through the FRQnet system at least one month prior to the competition deadline. The application and required documents must be submitted electronically by the competition deadline through the FRQnet system. Applications can be written in French or English, however, the title must be in French.
Students receiving funding from the FRQ will be paid directly by the Fonds once Concordia University has confirmed your full-time registration status with the FRQ. The confirmation of registration will be made before the DNE date, however should there be a change in your registration status after the DNE deadline, you are required to inform SGS and the FRQ immediately.
