Centre for Gender Advocacy
The Centre for Gender Advocacy is an independent, student-funded, Concordia University organization, mandated to promoting gender equality and empowerment particularly as it relates to marginalized communities. This mandate is achieved through ongoing programming, campaigns, resources, services, advocacy, and a commitment to accessibility. Services include a confidential peer support program, a resource centre and library, and an accessible space to facilitate community organizing and action.
Interligne is a front-line centre for help and information for people affected by sexual diversity and gender diversity. Through a 24-hour listening service, Interlinge provides support to LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones and community.
Centre de solidarité lesbienne (CSL)
The CSL is a community organization that is dedicated to promoting health and well-being for women and non-binary people of sexual diversity. The CSL’s role, which is rooted in feminist principles, is to improve the lives of lesbians+ by offering them services and assistance relating to domestic violence, well-being and health that are geared to their specific situation. The CSL is a place for dialogue and mutual support by and for lesbians.
The Montreal LGBTQ+ Community Centre
Founded in 1988, the Montreal LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an anchor point for its members which offers recreational, socio-cultural and humanitarian services, to promote well-being and improve the living conditions of people from gender and sexual diversity (GSD) communities.
Queer Concordia is a student group and on-campus resource centre for 2SLGBTQIA+ students and allies at Concordia University. Events, services and activities are posted on their Facebook and Instagram.
Project 10 is a Montreal community organization that Project 10 works to promote the personal, social, sexual and mental well being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, intersex and questioning (2LGBTQ+) youth and adults 14-25. Services are free of charge, confidential and anonymous, and are offered in English and French.
RÉZO (website in French only) is a community-based organization for gay and bisexual men, cis and trans, in Montreal whose focus is overall health promotion as well as the prevention of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Since 1991, we have provided a dynamic presence in the community, offering activities and services to help people maintain and improve their health.
McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC)
The McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC) provides specialized mental health care to individuals, couples and families with sexual orientation and gender identity issues. Our clientele includes people who are questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation or who feel unhappy about it, individuals and couples seeking to improve the quality of their interpersonal relationships, and couples and families who have concerns about a loved one’s gender identity or sexual orientation. MUSIC also works to enhance the health of the larger community through research, education, outreach and advocacy around sexual orientation and gender issues, homophobia and transphobia.
Meraki Health Centre
The Meraki Health Centre offers a variety of services for transgender individuals that includes initiation and follow-up for hormone therapy as well as counselling.
Located in the Gay Village, Clinque Quorum (website in French only) provides a variety of services that include a pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinic, post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) and transgender care (including hormone therapy). Appointments can be booked online.
